Microcrystalline wax is a high-quality, refined mineral wax valued for its flexibility, strong binding properties and ability to improve the texture and durability of wax-based products. Unlike regular paraffin wax, its fine crystalline structure provides greater flexibility and helps reduce brittleness and cracking.

Suitable for candle making, cosmetics, lip balms, skincare products and various industrial applications, microcrystalline wax helps create smoother textures, firmer blends and more consistent results. In candles, it can improve wax cohesion and reduce cracking, while in cosmetic formulations, it helps provide structure and a smooth, even consistency.

Whether you are developing your own products or improving existing formulations, microcrystalline wax offers a practical way to adjust firmness, enhance flexibility and achieve a more professional finish. It can be blended with other waxes to achieve the desired texture and performance.

Usage guidelines

Microcrystalline wax can be used as a blending component in candle making, cosmetics, skincare products and various industrial formulations.

  • Candle making: Blend with paraffin or other compatible waxes to improve flexibility, cohesion and resistance to cracking. Test the finished candles for burning performance.
  • Cosmetics and skincare: Incorporate into suitable lip balms, creams and other wax based formulations to improve structure, consistency and texture.
  • Industrial applications: Use in compatible wax blends to adjust firmness, flexibility and binding properties.
  • Melting and mixing: Heat gradually using temperature controlled equipment until fully melted. Mix thoroughly with compatible ingredients and avoid overheating.

Storage and handling

Store in a cool, dry and well ventilated place, away from direct sunlight, heat and ignition sources. The manufacturer recommends storage between 15°C and 30°C in the original sealed packaging. Avoid direct contact with hot wax and use suitable protective equipment when melting or handling heated material.

Recommended addition rates and processing temperatures depend on the intended application and should be established through formulation testing. The suitability of the finished product should be verified before use.
