Titanium dioxide is a high-purity mineral widely used for whitening plaster and soap, providing a distinctly white and even tone. It is a fine white powder that is insoluble in both water and oil and has no aroma.

Although titanium dioxide is dispersible in both water and oil, it is chemically inert, and color stability depends on the viscosity of the product. The thicker the product, the more stable the color; in more liquid products, titanium dioxide may settle faster.

Thanks to its excellent optical properties, titanium dioxide effectively reflects light, making surfaces brighter and visually more attractive. It is added to plaster mixtures and soaps to improve their white color and resistance to external factors, ensuring an even color distribution without stains. Its chemical stability and safety make it ideal for use in construction, decorative finishing materials, and soap manufacturing.

  • Gradually add water and stir to the desired consistency.

For bleaching soaps

Recipes with Water-Dispersible TiO₂:

Ingredients:

  • Melt & Pour soap base – 100 g
  • Water-dispersible TiO₂ – 0.5% – 1% of soap base weight (i.e., 0.5 g – 1 g)
  • Additional additives (optional) – colorants, fragrances, etc.

Instructions:

  • Prepare the soap base: Melt the Melt & Pour soap base according to the manufacturer’s instructions (e.g., using a microwave or double boiler).
  • Maintain the temperature: Ensure the soap base is liquid but not too hot – around 60-70°C.
  • Add water-dispersible TiO₂: Measure the appropriate amount of TiO₂ (0.5% or 1%) and add it to the liquid soap base. Stir well to achieve a homogeneous mixture.
  • Add additional additives: If desired, add fragrances, colorants, or other additives.
  • Pour into molds: Pour the mixture into soap molds and allow it to solidify according to the instructions.

Recipes with Oil-Dispersible TiO₂:

Ingredients:

  • Melt & Pour soap base – 100 g
  • Oil-dispersible TiO₂ – 0.5% – 1.5% of soap base weight (i.e., 0.5 g – 1.5 g)
  • Additional additives (optional) – oils, fragrances, etc.

Instructions:

  • Prepare the soap base: Melt the Melt & Pour soap base as described above.
  • Maintain the temperature: Ensure the soap base is liquid but not too hot.
  • Add oil-dispersible TiO₂: Measure the appropriate amount of TiO₂ (0.5% – 1.5%) and add it to the liquid soap base. If necessary, mix TiO₂ with a small amount of oil (e.g., sunflower or almond oil) to improve mixing.
  • Add additional additives: Add your chosen fragrances, colorants, or other additives.
  • Pour into molds: Pour the mixture into soap molds and allow it to solidify.
